Rules (National Hardwood Lumber Association) graded in : Prime / FAS&F1F / 1Common / 2Common / 3Common.Northern White Birch (Betula papyrifera), commonly called Paper Birch, is a light-colored hardwood native to Canada and the northern United States. With its smooth texture, excellent machining properties, and bright, uniform appearance, white birch is widely used in interior woodworking, cabinetry, and panel products.Weight – 1 cubic meter of kiln-dried white birch (at 6–8% moisture content) weighs approximately 670–710 kg.Janka Hardness – Approximately 520–540 kgf, making it a moderately hard wood with good dent resistance for interior use.Grain & Texture – Fine, even texture with a straight to slightly wavy grain.
